La Punta
La Punta (The Point) is located on the outer end of a jutting peninsula with Manzanillo Bay on one side and Santiago Bay on the other. Without La Punta, this body of water would be one big bay. Manzanillo is easy to find on the map. It’s roughly midway between Puerto Vallarta to the north and Acapulco to the south. La Punta is an exclusive residential community. It is also one of Mexico’s best-kept secrets. La Punta features more than 75 cliff-clinging homes and condos, has 24-hour manned security, winding, hilly, cobblestone roads, magnificent views of the sea and shady byways that wend through a profusion bougainvillea and hibiscus that bloom year-around.
House Name

The floating gardens of Xochimilco inspired the name Casa Chinampa. The house is unique because of its interior water flow. Four waterfalls in the entranceway create three narrow channels that suggest an ancient Chinampa. From this level, the water flows gently over a wide water wall and drops 10 feet to the living area, ultimately feeding the swimming pool. This design creates an atmosphere akin to living in an open, natural setting with multiple flowing streams that surrounds you with the murmur of flowing water.
